		<description><![CDATA[Hi Tetanus. Great job on answering everyones questions, often repeats. I have the 2x and find on my 7d that the tape trick only partially works with my Canon 300mm F.4L lens. It onlyfocuses some of the time. However even without the pin tape it focuses all the time using a non central focus point. This is far more accurate. The problem is it always totally overexposes so as to be unusuable. So its best to shoot in manual. So far I havent found the image quality that great whereas my canon 1:4 is brilliant. Need to practise more in some good light. Thanks and bye]]></description>

Thanks for reply, I now have a loan canon 300mm L 2.8 with 1.4x TC Kenko Teleplus Pro 300 DGX on my 7D the problem I have is this :-

On my 7D will MF focus only, same with my friend 7D.
On my old canon 450D work OK with full AF. 
What am I doing wrong, do I need to change setting in the menu. Help
