Writing the previous post reminded me of an anecdote about Magnum photographer Ernst Haas:
The year was 1935 and, while conducting a workshop, Ernst Haas was asked the following question by an attendee:
What is the best wide-angle lens?
To which he answered:
Best wide-angle lens? Two steps backward. Look for the ‘ah-ha.’

I thought that was the story for people who complain that prime lenses have no zoom? *grin
Well, if someone had a 50mm and he asked such a question, I would have understood if Mr. Haas were to have whacked him on the head for even asking.
You have to look no further than my Flickr list to find what would appear to be a very well-heeled individual with all the ‘L’ lenses money can buy but not a single creative rod or cone in that person’s eye to make something beautiful with them.
“Leica, schmeica…”, indeed.
awww, you tease! you’re flickr list is very long lor.
