In between 6:50 and 7:08 this evening, whilst en route to a coffeeshop, I stood rooted and stared for a long time at what must be the most striking sunset of late.
The sky was overcast, yet everything on terra firma was awashed in a shade of orange, as if being lit by candlelight. As I watched, the sky pelted tiny drops of rain, but only for a minute.
People passing me by gave strange stares; some followed my gaze, briefly checking, and they must have wondered what exactly it was about the sky which had so enraptured me, and why I had a smile on my face.
But they would not understand.
Because it was more than just a sunset. It was Beauty in all of her glory.
Wow! What a great blog.
Your description of the sunset made me long to be there and see it for myself. :-)
Thanks.
Have a great rest of your week.
‘Too bad my digital camera broke down’ was what I said to my friend when I saw the redness in the sky. It was beautiful.
Jayleigh – Thank you. You have a great weekend as well. :)
Pasta – What a pity. It was really something, wasn’t it?
I was amazed and stood stuck at Jurong East Interchange for 3 minutes too..
saw the magnificent red round sun glowing in-between the grey stacks that is our city, from my office on the 30th floor.
absolutely beautiful.
Woof! – Glad to know there are people like yourself who appreciates a beautiful sky. :)
Miss Duhr – It must’ve been a great view.
